Ella’s career started in the ambitious world of professional motorsport as a data, systems and performance engineer and manager. She specialised in endurance and sportscar racing, working in pitlanes across the world. Whilst juggling three racing cars, twelve racing drivers and up to twenty technicians during gruelling 24-hour long races, she realised that performance was as much about people as it was about horsepower.
Ella holds a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Leeds, a Masters of Science degree in Racing Engine Design from Oxford Brookes University and is a PRINCE2© qualified Project Manager. She is now an Associate Lecturer, specialising in business and management, in the School of Engineering, Computing and Mathematics at her local alma mater.
Since leaving the travelling circus of motorsport and settling back in Oxfordshire Ella has worked as an award-winning operations and project management specialist. She has advised multinational manufacturers, and independent entrepreneurs, on how to make things happen efficiently and effectively. Ella is an advocate for STEM careers, volunteering as a STEM Ambassador and Young Enterprise Business Advisor.
Ella has worked with many high-growth, passion and purpose-led startups to ensure that as they scale, the way they work behind the scenes evolves too. As Operations Director, she uses this experience to provide strategic, practical and pragmatic input into Medled’s administration and day-to-day business operations.
